CBS approved building work contractor course, SA

Staysafe Industry Training (RTO 40963) has been approved by the Criteria Business Services, South Australian Government to offer the building work contractor course in South Australia.

Option 2, A & B units include; BSBSMB401 Establish legal and risk requirements of small business and BSBSMB404 Undertake small business planning is an approved CBS option. These units must be completed before you apply for your building work contractor licence.

This is a two day course which will be based in Keswick, Adelaide.  This is not an online course, training is face to face. You will be asked to produce your driver’s licence and medicare card to establish your identity for the purposes to either find an existing or create a unique student identifier (USI) . The enrolment form has a section for you to authorise me to create or find an existing USI (a verification email sent to confirm your booking lists what you need to bring on the day), payment can be made in cash or by debit/ credit card.

The course will run on the last Saturday and Sunday of each month in Adelaide (see training dates below), however where course numbers are low it may mean the course will not occur for that month. When this is the case you will be notified by email and given the opportunity to roll over to the next month or receive a full refund of your deposit.

About the Course

On the day you receive a workbook with information and assessment activities which is used throughout the course. There are 4 sections to the workbook, some assessment activities are online such as ABLIS, Trade Mark Assist, Identifying rental premises using the business lease checklist, however, there are written questions and some multi-choice questions. You are guided and assisted throughout the entire course.

You are encouraged to ask questions at any time before, during and after the course, in particular you may have some questions around what is required to submit your application to CBS for your work building contractor licence or business structures, taxation and insurance.

BSBSMB401 Establish legal and risk requirements of small business

On completion of each section, you and the trainer and assessor are required to sign and date that section before going on to another section. Once all sections of the workbook are complete, we go back to the front of the book to do the final sign off. It is at this point when all assessment activities have been completed that a final result of competent or not yet competent is achieved. If re-assessment is required, this is indicated on the assessment cover sheet. There are two opportunities for re-assessment which occurs on the same day.

BSBSMB404 Undertake small business planning

On the day you receive a workbook with information and assessment activities which is used throughout the course. There are 3 sections to the workbook, assessment includes written questions and some multi-choice questions, planning and review. You are guided and assisted throughout the entire course. Pricing

$600.00 per person

Course fees do not have any hidden additional course costs

Deposit

A $200.00 deposit is required at the time of booking. Payment can be made with a debit/credit card over the phone using the Stripe payment gateway. Confirmation of payment will be sent via email. I require 24 hours notice prior to the booking date should you want to change your booking or cancel. Refunds are made in relation to the refunds policy and procedure which is available on this website or in the student handbook. Where course numbers are low it may mean the course will not occur for that month. When this is the case you will be notified by email and given the opportunity to roll over to the next month or receive a full refund of your deposit.
