Eligibility for CSQ Funding

CSQ (Construction Skills Queensland) funding is designed to support workers in the building and construction industry. 

 The key eligibility criteria generally include:

1. Employed in the Construction Industry

• Must be currently employed in the construction industry in Queensland.

• This includes full-time, part-time, casual workers, and self-employed tradies.

2. Unemployed but Recently in the Industry

• Must have worked in construction within the last four years (not in another industry).

• Ideal for those between jobs or looking to upskill.

3. Active in Specific Trade Roles

• CSQ funding typically applies to those in licensed trades and construction-related occupations.

• Common eligible trades include:

• Electricians

• Plumbers

• Carpenters

• Bricklayers

• Tilers

• Plasterers

• Roofers

• Concreters

• Painters & Decorators

• Civil Construction Workers

• Plant Operators

• Site Supervisors & Builders

• Solar Installers (under electrical licensing)

4. Exclusions

• Government workers (except those in local councils with approval).

• Those working in industries outside construction (e.g., mining, manufacturing).

• Apprentices (covered under different funding).
