  • Physical health and disability

External Counselling and Support Services

Staysafe Industry Training provides access to external counselling and wellbeing support services to assist students who may require additional support beyond the scope of the organisation.

The organisation has established a referral pathway with the Australian Counselling Service (ACS), which offers:

  • Free, short-term counselling support
  • Online sessions delivered via secure video conferencing
  • Appointments available seven days a week, typically within 48 hours
  • Support for a range of concerns including stress, anxiety, study challenges, motivation, relationships, and personal circumstances
  • Trauma-informed, person-centred care
  • Access to counsellors from culturally diverse backgrounds
  • Support for neurodivergent students, including those with ASD and ADHD

Students are able to self-refer directly through the ACS booking system and select a counsellor suited to their needs.

This service is provided at no cost to students or the organisation and forms part of Staysafe Industry Training’s commitment to supporting student wellbeing, engagement, and successful course completion.

Where appropriate, staff may encourage students to access external support services in addition to internal support strategies to ensure holistic support for the learner.
