SAA Accreditation pathway for GCBS Install Only

The Grid-Connected Battery Storage (GCBS) Install Only Pathway is designed for licensed electricians who want to carry out the installation, commissioning, and integration of battery storage systems connected to existing or new grid-connected photovoltaic systems.

This pathway focuses solely on the practical installation competency and does not include design units, making it ideal for electricians working under a solar designer, contractors handling installation-only roles, or those aiming to upskill specifically in battery storage system installation.

Participants must complete the units listed below or hold equivalent earlier qualifications. Some electrical prerequisites are required unless the participant already holds an Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
